Spring String Flowers – Acrylic Paint

After spending a little bit of time working on my flower bed this afternoon, I came inside and decided to paint Spring String Flowers – Acrylic Paint being the medium.  And, yes I made these flowers using string.

For my flowers, I used vibrant shades of pink, purple, yellow, green and red. I may have gotten carried away but I just couldn’t stop adding more and more flowers! And, I like the cells that developed during the process.

Do you love the brightness as much as I do? I painted and played for hours making these flowers….

Becoming a little bolder in my technique, I painted the background on the next painting and then after it dried, I added more flowers on top. Perhaps a little busy and bold, it’s apply named Flower Overload.

Time to try a slightly different technique. The following painting still has vibrant colors but each flower is more distinctive and several flowers are multi-colored, like a rainbow. I added iridescent glitter on top but it’s not showing up in my photo; perhaps, because the painting is still wet. I hope the glitter shows when it’s dry.

Have you worked in your flower bed lately or are you still fighting the cold and snow? We had snow this week but today it really warmed up. I went from a winter coat and gloves this morning to no jacket and working out in my flower bed this afternoon.

That’s how the weather is in Tennessee. Like most states, the weather is completely unpredictable. Our joke has always been, “If you don’t like the weather, just wait a bit. It will change.”
